everybody, everybody wants to love

A quick round table interview with Sir Leon (Rupert Young), Sir Elyan (Adetomiwa Edun) and Sir Percival (Tom Hopper).

How well do we get to know the knights?
[Young] The knights are part of the fabric this new Camelot. They are part of the family. There’s a strong emphasis on the group dynamic. But there are ructions every now and again.

But are you like a medieval boy band? (omg this magazine) Sporty Knight? Stunt Knight? Always Falling Over Their Boots Knight?
[Hopper] Yeah, I’m comedy arms, that’s all I am. (i love you)
[Young] That would be Elyan.. That’s been on of the nice things, as you get to see the individual characteristics come out. You get to know us. All of us. And it’s a team that really works because we are all very different. We could all have gone our own ways. So you do see our personalities shining through as well as being part of the group.

We heard this series uses an amazing stuntman who specializes in falling off his horse and being dragged along by the stirrup? 
[Edun] That was me. It wasn’t supposed to be caught on camera.
[Young] We love doing the stunts, but the stuntmen make us look good.
[Hopper] I was a bit wary of my horse to begin with, but you keep the same horse and now we have an understanding.

The show is well known for using any excuse to have shirtless Bradley shots. (OMG AHGHOWIEJFisjdfIWEO) Have the knights been subjected to this treatment too? 
[Young] There have been some flashes. (fjfjfeHNNGGHhgNG) I’m very shy really.
[Edun] There’s been some volunteering from Eoin. (sobbing quietly into my magazine…)
[Hopper] Yeah!! *adopts an OIRISH accent* Oi’ll get me top off. I tink t’scene calls farr it.
[Edun] It’s till mainly Bradley.
[Young] I think it’s part of his contract. (NBD jUST A SoBBIng MEss)

Would you like to see some Leon, Percival and Elyan action figures? (in a word, YES. because i want to see photos of the actors playing with their toy selves because that’s always adorable. <3)
[Hopper] I’m massively hopeful there will be. It’s my lifelong dream to have an action figure made of me.
[Young] You look like Action Man anyway. 

And what about action figures?
Tom: Ah man! I’d love an action figure. You have no idea how much I want an action figure.
Eoin: When you think about it, when you’re a kid the only thing you want is to have an action figure or to play in a football stadium.
Rupert: I was a sticker though, in the Merlin sticker album. I got that and I was so excited.
Eoin: You were a sticker?
Tom: Oh man, I want to be a sticker.
Eoin: Do you have it on your fridge?
Rupert: Not yet, no, because I didn’t know what to do with it. I’ve only got the one. I was worried I was going to be the one that everyone had and wanted to swap but I think I might be the random one.
Tom: [mocking voice] “Sir Leon? Nah, I’ve got 12 of him.”
